Paul is a second-year medical student at the Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) in Philadelphia. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Paul earned a B.A. in neuroscience with a minor in philosophy from Vanderbilt University in 2019. Following graduation, Paul gained clinical exposure working as a medical scribe in the emergency department. In 2020, he moved to Philadelphia to fulfill a lifelong goal of matriculating to medical school. At the conclusion of his first year at LKSOM, Paul was diagnosed with brain cancer and would spend the next year away from school undergoing treatments. In August of 2022, Paul returned to medical school to resume his studies and continue pursuing his aspiration to become a physician. Paul is eager to share the knowledge and experience gained from his application process and from the recent challenges he has faced to assist others to achieve their dreams. Paul loves cooking and watching sports, especially football.
