Paul Scalzo’s journey to medical school has not been linear. After graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Mr. Scalzo worked for over four years in the fields of basic science, clinical, and public health research. During those years he gained a very deep appreciation for the mentorship he received, and his aspiration to advise others ignited. Mr. Scalzo graduated from the Special Master’s Program in Physiology at Georgetown University in 2020 and gained admission to medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine in 2021. Paul Scalzo greatly desires to not only mentor aspiring physicians who come from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds, but also non-traditional applicants who seek guidance through the challenging and exciting journey towards medicine.
