Jessica Blanks is a medical student at the University of North Carolina. Originally from Fayetteville, NC, she graduated from UNC in 2018, where she majored in Biology and Asian Studies. She then spent two years working at the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities as a medical assistant and clinical research coordinator. Jessica is passionate about supporting folks with I/DD and coaches with Special Olympics. She is also a member of the Prison Book Collective, based out of Durham, NC, and intends to continue advocating for vulnerable populations as a physician. Outside of school, she enjoys making ceramics, running, and getting lost in a good book. Jessica is grateful for the mentors who have gotten her here and is excited to help future doctors navigate the medical school admissions process!
