Denice is currently a medical student at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (Class of 2023) interested in pursuing a career in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her undergraduate degree in neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania (Class of 2018) and spent one gap year teaching in Qingdao, China before matriculating into medical school. She is a Belizean-Guamanian-American whose family is currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. Denice is involved with a handful of mentorship organizations at her school (APOYO, for pregnant teen mothers, Young Docs, for students of all ages interested in medicine, and Uptown Hub, for youth in Washington Heights) and is excited to meet more ambitious students through Project SHORT.
