Caroline Woods is a medical student in Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine's class of 2022. Originally from Leesburg, Virginia, Caroline got her BA in Cognitive Science with a focus on Neuroscience from the University of Virginia in 2016. After graduating, she moved to Boston where she pursued an MS in Medical Sciences through Boston University's MAMS program. After grad school, Caroline worked for a year in a neuroscience research lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center studying narcolepsy in mice. Caroline is passionate about women in STEM and is the former chapter President for VTC's GWIMS (Group on Women in Medicine and Science). Outside of medical school, Caroline enjoys playing on the VTC rec softball team, reading non-medical books as the co-President of VTC's book club, hiking around Roanoke, and cooking with her roommates.
