?Atreyi is a medical student at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (c/o 2024). After graduating from Mount Holyoke with a B.A. in Neuroscience in 2016, Atreyi spent two years as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. There, she studied how neurons in the hypothalamus regulate various metabolic functions. In 2018, Atreyi made the leap from bench to bedside and began working as a clinical research coordinator on neuroimaging studies at Massachusetts General Hospital. Since 2016, Atreyi has participated in various community health outreach initiatives and has worked closely with the child-life department at pediatric hospitals to support hospitalized children. Her academic interests include student mentorship, research, and narrative medicine. In her spare time, Atreyi enjoys listening to show tunes, cycling, and reading.
