Andrew Chang is currently pursuing his MD at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He grew up in Paso Robles, CA and graduated from UCLA in 2016 with a B.S. in Physiological Science. Afterwards, he worked for two years as a medical scribe and volunteered with a community outreach clinic before starting medical school. Since coming to Virginia Tech, Andrew has led the VT/VTCSOM mentorship program, and has served on the admissions committee as a student representative. During his free time, Andrew enjoys starting various food related projects, such as fermentation, roasting coffee, or hosting dinners for his classmates. He also enjoys long bike rides, video games, and spending time reading quietly with his cat.
