Alex is currently pursuing a medical degree at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (Class of 2024). Alex is a first generation Chinese-American who grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. For undergrad, he attended the University of Maryland College Park. During his time in college, he was co-president of UMD Tzu Ching, a humanitarian organization. Alex obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology in 2018. Afterwards, he spent two years as a postbac researcher at the National Cancer Institute. He studied protein structural analysis using techniques such as X-ray crystallography and Cryo-EM. Alex is looking forward to continuing his service towards others by guiding others through their medical applications.
