Abdi is a medical student at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He received his B.S. in Radiation Therapy from Saint Louis University in 2018. He is originally from Somalia and came to the U.S. as a refugee at the age of 9. As someone who comes from a disadvantaged background and is a first generation college student and professional student, he is passionate about helping others, especially those who come from similar backgrounds. He is committed to helping others realize their potential, and wants to help them achieve their goals and dreams through Project SHORT.
