Sanyukta (Sun-youk-ta) is a Physics PhD student at the University of Kansas working on experimental astroparticle physics. She was born and raised in Kolkata, India and has completed her BS in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Her research interests lie in understanding the origins of high-energy emission in the universe. Currently, her work focuses on detection of ultra-high energy neutrinos and cosmic-rays with experiments like Radio Neutrino Observatory in Greenland (RNO-G), Payload for Ultra-high Energy Observations (PUEO) and High Altitude Calibration Instrument (HiCal-3). When she is not coding or playing with antennas, she indulges in swimming, fencing, playing badminton and watching Formula 1. She loves to travel and is passionate about making advancements in software and technology accessible to people beyond the field of STEM.
