David Reiner is a postdoc at the National Institute on Drug Abuse, where he studies the neurobiology of opioid relapse in a rat model. He earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. David is a recipient of the NIH F31 NRSA and the NIH PRAT Fellowship, which is the NIH Intramural Research Program's version of the F32 NRSA for postdocs. David is very interested in mentoring students through the biomedical graduate school application process and brings in his own experience of having been initially rejected from the program where he ultimately earned his degree. In his free time, David enjoys playing basketball and baseball and running by Baltimore harbor.
