She/her/hers

Danielle is a fifth year Clinical Psychology PhD student (with a concentration in Geropsychology) at the University of Alabama. She is originally from a small town named Scotch Plains, New Jersey. She received a BA in Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received her MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Danielles main research interests are minority aging (specifically African American older adults), religion, spirituality, grief, bereavement, and Positive Psychology. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation, which is investigating the manifestations of grief across a lifespan sample of African American adults, relative to both existing grief theory and cultural factors specific to African Americans. Danielle is very family-oriented, so when she is not engaged in school work, leadership positions, or service opportunities on her campus and nationally, she enjoys a good family Facetime with her parents or close friends. She also has been known to be a lover of classic Black sitcoms and cartoons, including her all-time favorite show: Spongebob.
