Damhyeon is a Neuroscience PhD student at the University of Utah. Before moving to the U.S. for her graduate study, Damhyeon graduated from Sogang University with a B.S. in Life Science and B.A. in Psychology, and from DGIST with an M.S. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, both in South Korea. Her previous research focused on group social behavior and its multi-brain neural features in the medial prefrontal cortex in mice. Damhyeon is currently exploring how the medial prefrontal cortex microcircuit activities are modulated to route behaviorally relevant information. Outside of the lab, Damhyeon enjoys walking and exploring cafes.
