Brittany Puzio

UC Santa Barbara

Brittany is a first year Chemistry PhD student at the University of California Santa Barbara working with Dr. Songi Han. Brittany obtained her B.S. in Chemistry from San Diego State University in 2021. Her research focuses on using solid-state NMR and cryo-electron microscopy to probe the Tau protein’s ordered assembly into abnormal filaments; a hallmark of human neurodegenerative diseases. Her aim is to better understand the mechanism of Tau toxicity and the structure-function relationship. In her free time, Brittany enjoys going to the gym, going to the beach, and relaxing with her dogs.
