Ava is a Ph.D. student in Duke's University Program in Genetics and Genomics. Her research interests are broadly focused around using functional genomic technologies to understand how evolutionary forces act on genome regulation and adaptation. Prior to Duke, Ava worked as a postbac at Yale's School of Medicine and Harvard/MIT's Broad Institute. Outside of the lab, she enjoys live comedy, learning to rollerblade, and cultivating house plants!
