Angelina Baltazar is a first-year Neuroscience Ph.D. student at the University of Pennsylvania, studying to better understand, diagnose, and treat neurodegenerative diseases. She recently graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering as an Undergraduate Reserach Scholar, Honors Fellow, and recipient of the Robert Gates - Muller Family Outstanding Senior Award. Her past work as an undergraduate focused on developing stem cell treatments for spinal cord injury, mentoring students as an ambassador of multiple departments, and advocating for the creation and promotion of student success initiatives. Outside of research, Angelina enjoys baking, running, painting, and playing with her cat.
