Alexis is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology at Yale University. She received her B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo in 2015 and her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Virginia Tech in 2020. Broadly, Alexis researches how stress and trauma affect child and adolescent development and the emergence of psychopathology. She uses fMRI to investigate how adversity shapes brain structure and function over time. Outside of the lab, Alexis enjoys hiking, camping, and reading.
