Warisha, currently a PhD student in Northeastern University's Chemical Engineering program, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore, Pakistan. As a member of the Dennis Lab, she is currently working with Quantum Dots for the development of in-vitro small molecule biosensing platforms. Her personal experience as an international student navigating the challenges of graduate school applications has fueled her passion for making this process more accessible and less intimidating for fellow international students and she eagerly anticipates the valuable insights she will gain from other mentors and mentees within the Project SHORT community. Outside the lab, you can often find her behind the lens, capturing people and landscapes, or exploring the vibrant open markets of New England.
