Hartlee grew up in Ohio and moved to North Carolina to go to Davidson College. After graduating with BS in Biology in 2019, she worked for a Federally Qualified Health Center before starting med school at UNC Chapel Hill. She is currently doing her clinical rotations in the mountains of Asheville, NC. She definitely wants to return to community and public health work in the future, but specialty remains TBD! Outside of the hospital, she’s usually hiking with her new puppy or knitting sweaters. She loves working with Project SHORT for the same reason that she loves medicine – she gets to listen to interesting stories and cheer on wonderful people as they reach towards big goals.
