Suzy Estrada is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at Yale University. Suzy is interested in identifying and specifying basic mechanisms of learning, their relationship to trauma (e.g., childhood maltreatment, exposure to community violence), and their implications for understanding engagement in antisocial behavior. She also conducts therapy with individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, substance use, and other mental health issues. Suzy received her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Spanish from Yale University in 2016 and worked as a post-baccalaureate research fellow at Yale, conducting research on social decision-making in individuals who engage in antisocial behavior. Suzy is especially grateful to have an advisor who explained the PhD application process in great detail and is excited to share that knowledge with others. Outside of academia, Suzy loves reality tv, iced coffee, and watching soccer. ​
