Shivam is currently a 1st-year doctoral student in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He did his Bachelor’s in Zoology from the University of Delhi and Master’s in Biotechnology from IIT Bombay and then worked as a research fellow at IIT Bombay for one year. He has recently joined UofT as an international student. His research focuses on Nanomedicine and Biomaterials for the treatment of various physiological conditions. In the past, he has specifically worked on the development of nanoparticles for diabetic wounds, antimicrobial resistance, and microneedles for non-invasive Insulin delivery. He himself has a diverse background and believes in interdisciplinary science. When not working, he likes learning new skills and is also a music and travel enthusiast.
