Shanyu is a third-year Social Psychology Ph.D. candidate at Northeastern University. Her research investigates social emotions such as gratitude in the context of sustainability, intergroup relations, and prosocial behavior. Shanyu completed her B.S. at Northeastern University, followed by an M.A. in Social Psychology at San Francisco State University. At SFSU, her research explored the effects of emotion regulation on conflict resolution. Outside of the lab, Shanyu enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, eating her way through the Boston dining scene, and playing with her dog Mochi.
