Aqieda Bayat is a 3rd year medical student at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She grew up in Northern California and received her B.S. in Microbiology from UC Berkeley in 2016. During undergrad she was involved in immunology research where she investigated the pathology of malarial infection at UCSF Division of Experimental Medicine. While applying to medical school, Aqieda spent a year working in the Emergency Department as a medical scribe where she delved further into her passion for medicine. Currently, she has been active on several surgical oncology research projects. Aqieda relied heavily on her mentors throughout her journey to medicine and can�t wait to help you navigate through this stressful yet exciting time!
