Noam Roth is a postdoctoral scientist at the University of Washington, in the department of Biological Structure, where she studies the neural mechanisms of perception and decision making, and in particular how distributed populations of neurons across the brain coordinate dynamics to generate complex behavior. She is also a member of the International Brain Lab research consortium. Noam earned her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania, studying the neural mechanisms of object-based attention. Previously, Noam earned a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, with a double major in Mathematics and the interdisciplinary Psychology-Neuroscience-Philosophy program. Noam is passionate about mentoring and teaching, and is excited to help level the playing field such that future scientists of all backgrounds and experiences have the opportunities to find their passion in science.
