Mira Nicchitta is pursing her MD at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, VA as a member of the class of 2022. She has a BS in Biology from the College of William & Mary and is originally from Durham, NC. She is passionate about providing humanistic and compassionate medical care and looking at healthcare at every level, from the individual to the system. She has research experience at the bench, clinical, and epidemiological level and is currently doing public health research in Sickle Cell Disease. Mira has a background in MCAT/admissions mentoring as well as experience with essay and creative writing. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, art, cooking, yoga, and being outdoors. ​
