Mark-Anthony is currently an M2 at the University of Michigan Medical School. He was born in Silay City, Philippines and immigrated to the United States when he was 7 and grew up in New Jersey. He attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and graduated in 2018, before staying in Ann Arbor for medical education. He chose to pursue medicine because serving patients as a physician is a privilege that very few people hold. He is attracted to the opportunity to walk with patients as they navigate illness and to advocate for marginalized folks. Outside of medical school, he can be found walking his two corgis, working on his collection of indoor plants, or getting a quick lift in at one of Ann Arbor's many gyms. He hopes to work with a diverse group of applicants this year to help them achieve their schools in medicine!
